Common questions
When you sign up, you select your local masjid. You then submit a verification request with a short note about your connection to the community. Your imam or their appointed admins review the request and approve it if they know you as a member. Once approved you receive a Green Badge. If you're an imam of a verified masjid, you receive a Gold Badge directly from the platform.
Yes. Masjid admins can revoke a Green Badge at any time. If a Green Badge is revoked, any Silver Badges that flow from that person are also reviewed. This accountability mechanism is intentional - it keeps the community safe and encourages good conduct.
When you add a family member to your tree and they confirm the relationship, if either of you holds a Green or Gold Badge the other is automatically granted a Silver Badge. Both parties must confirm the family link. The Silver Badge shows the relationship to the verified member when anyone hovers on your profile.
Posts on your masjid's page are visible to anyone who follows or visits that masjid's page. Posts on the global feed are visible to all users, but our algorithm prioritises showing your content to members of your masjid first, then your city, then your country, then globally. Family group messages are private to confirmed family members only.
Create an account, go to the masjid section, and submit your masjid's details including name, address, and your role as imam. The Green Grass platform team reviews and verifies the masjid, then grants you a Gold Badge as imam. After that you can begin setting prayer times and verifying your community members.
Yes. All direct messages and group chats on Green Grass are end-to-end encrypted. No one except the participants in a conversation can read the messages - not platform admins, not masjid admins.
